THE RICHES OF POVERTY

Mark 8:36

1). “For what shall it profit a man, if he should gain the whole world, but suffers the loss of his own soul?

2). What shall he give in exchange to his own soul?

3). Poverty is lack of essential provisions required for necessities.

4). The materialistic poverty is not a sin itself, but poverty proceeded from the beginning of the world.

5). Poverty is an endowment from Satan who stole the heart of mankind from the LORD.

6). He seized the wealthy world made for all to be equally rich, after he had pushed him down from the glory of abundant resources.

7). By the woeful defeat of the human race, it takes a man to struggle so hard to wriggle out of poverty.

8). It is very obvious that poverty and its mentality affected every human being, even as everyone is tied up to being born naturally naked.

9). The first Adam and his wife were first clothed with glory hence they were unaware of nakedness; except after they had sinned.

10). Can a person climb out of poverty in this world? O yes many have come out of poverty into riches, though they were once poor.

11). It must be noted that the natural life of every human begins with poverty, even though he was born into a wealthy family.

12). Having nothing that he came with into the world, he is helped as a poor person to feed, clothed to grow up, trained to acquire riches if possible.

13). However, it is not a sin itself that one grows up and could not escape from poverty.

14). Such ideas that project poverty as sin itself, should not be tolerated or respected as the truth of God; even though the seller of such ideas has quoted scriptures.

15). Do not buy such ideas which are not from God, but of human egoistic doctrines: aimed to scam the drafts.

16). Do not go to steal, because you want to be rich in this temporal world.

17). We have heard great popularly endorsed preachers, loudly preached to their audiences that to be poor is sin itself. No, not so.

17.1. Some may want you to steal for them to enrich their ambitious crave to build up their empire.

18). Poverty only sprang up when the first Adam fell down into sin, and lost the world to Satan the devil who succeeded him.

19). It was not just only poverty that woke up with the original sin, but both sickness, disease, death of the flesh that ate the forbidden fruit, misfortune and various sufferings with all wicked activities.

21). Even the killing of human beings by fellow human beings, started from the first born on earth, Cain, and continues until today.

22). All the above mentioned are the confirmed poverty in the sight of God Almighty.

23). The uninsulated truth is that the original disobedience to the commandment of the LORD is the original source of both spiritual and physical poverty.

24). Instantly man was stripped naked: and ran wretchedly shameful from the presence of the LORD until today.

25). Now it takes the gospel herald to search for the lost and hidden souls to return to their eternal rightful inheritance.

26). Whereas there is natural poverty, there is also spiritual poverty.

27). The same applies to natural and spiritual wealth.
They operate in similar duality.

28). The fact is that the riches acquired against the holiness of the Lord is seen as spiritual property in the sight of the Lord.

BLESSED POVERTY

29). Once upon a time, John the Baptist sent to query Christ if He the true One God had sent.

30). One of the answers the Lord gave to him was “The poor had the gospel preached to them” (Matthew 11:4-5).

31). These are not the materially poor people, but rather the meek, lowly and humble persons.

32). Were St. Peter, James John, Joseph Arimathaea, Nichodemus and many more, poor materially?

33). But they gave heed to the gospel of the Kingdom and believed in the Christ.

34). What can be such a poverty other than Nichodemus, who was a spiritual leader in Israel, who thought that to be born again, meant to reenter into his mother’s womb and be reborn?

35). They became poor to worldliness, and rich towards the Lord in faith and eternal hope.

36). Going by the question of profit and loss of souls, we need to have a critical rethink about the endable present, and endless future.

37). In The Present time, it is pertinent to recognise that poverty is a thing of this world and shall end up with this world.

THE SURE FUTURE

The end-able present, and the endless future are defined by the Word of God. What is your proposal for eternity?

SALVATION POVERTY

38). In the biblical beatitude of Matt 5:3,

Matthew 5:3, the Lord said “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their’s is the kingdom of heaven”.

39). The poor set of persons that have been granted to inherit the Kingdom of heaven are not the common people of material mourners who are bewailing natural unsuccessfulness.

40). These set of poor persons consist of both materially rich or non, on this earth.

41). Faith and loyalty to God, exalts the saints to a greater degree above excess curiosity of material incumbrance.

42). The world is passing away and all the lusts thereof: but he that does the will of God shall abide for ever (1John2:15-(17).

43). It is so obvious that what the Lord means by “poor in spirit”, is not related to natural inability to accumulate wealth.

44). The Lord has strictly warned in Luke 12:15 by saying, “to them, take heed and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of what he possesses”.

45). For instance, we read in the bible book of Revelation 3:17 saying:

46). so then , because you say “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have no need for anything,

47). and you do not know how wretched, and miserable, and [poor], and blind, and naked, you are.

48). Also let us remember the rich man who lived at one time in this world, according to our Lord Jesus Christ, and how he ended up in eternal poverty, according as St. Luke 16:19-31 details.

47). St. John 6:24-30 writes about the correction Jesus gave to the materialistic Jews.

48). He asked them to seek after Him in whom the Father has sealed life eternal.

49). The Bible book of 2Cor.8:9 reveals how Jesus Christ brought eternal riches from heaven, to replace the poverty of mankind who should believe in Him.

50). If you have read through the bible book of Revelation chapter 3:15-18, you can see for yourselves how poor and wretched the world, or life, without Christ is like. It is miserable.
