The Mystery of the Invisible

.Everything visible on the surface of the earth originates from the invisible.
.Artists, manufacturers, architects, tailors, and all designers first imagine, sketch, and develop their ideas in the invisible realm before bringing them into reality.
.When imagination is carefully designed and executed, it manifests and becomes visible.
.This principle applies to everything that happens on earth.
God Almighty: The Original Invisible
.God Almighty is a profound mystery beyond human smartness, cleverness, or intelligence. One must not be quick to speak about Him without understanding.

.Since God cannot be seen, human beings should not casually speak about Him without knowledge.

.Jesus Christ, who appeared visibly and declared Himself as the Son of the invisible God, is the only one qualified to reveal the nature of God.

.Throughout history, humanity has merely spoken about God, but no one has fully comprehended Him.

.According to John 1:18: “No one has ever seen God at any time, but the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared Him.”

.Who, then, is more qualified to reveal the reality of God to the world if not Jesus Christ?

.If Jesus is the only one who came from the invisible God, is He not the best witness of God’s true nature?

The Jews and Christ
.Consider the conversation between Jesus and the Jews in John 8:23-59.
.In verse 23, Jesus said: “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.”
.This statement reveals the existence of another world beyond this one.
.No one knows the nature of that world except Jesus Christ, who came from it.
.In verse 24, Jesus warned: “If you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
.In verse 25, the Jews asked, “Who are you?” Jesus answered, “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning.”
.In verse 28, He said: “When you lift up the Son of Man (referring to His crucifixion), then you will know that I am He and that I do nothing of myself.”
.This confirms that there is no alternative way to access the invisible God apart from Christ.
.In verse 37, Jesus acknowledged that the Jews were descendants of Abraham but accused them of seeking to kill Him because His word had no place in them.
.In verse 40, He pointed out: “Now you seek to kill me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.”
.In verse 42, He said: “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God. I did not come of myself, but He sent me.”
.This statement in John 8:42 is a powerful testimony that Jesus is the direct manifestation of the invisible God.
.Throughout the chapter, the dialogue between Jesus and the Jews confirms that He alone has firsthand knowledge and experience of the invisible God.
Understanding the Nature of God
.Some may ask, “Is this invisible God a person?”
.Others may wonder, “If Jesus is a person, does that mean there are two Gods?”
.Some may question, “Are there three persons in one God? How do they function as one?”
.These mysteries cannot be fully comprehended because no human has been to the invisible realm to witness it firsthand.
.Some theologians suggest that the three visitors who appeared to Abraham in Genesis 18 represented the Trinity.
.However, Genesis 19:1-3 identifies two of them as angels when they visited Lot in Sodom.
.Jesus declared in John 3:13: “No one has ascended into heaven except He who came down from heaven, the Son of Man.”
.This means that if anyone seeks knowledge about the invisible God, they must turn to Jesus Christ and His teachings in the Bible.
.Since the beginning of time, no one else has claimed to have come from heaven as the Son of God.

Recovery Words of Knowledge

Understanding is inbuilt in every human being, but the Wisdom of God in Christ opens the eyes of understanding

(Ephesians 1:18; Luke 24:45)

The Mystery of the Invisible

34. Jesus alone made this claim, bore humanity’s sins, died, and rose again—proving His divine nature.
.His statement in John 3:13 settles all debates and human speculations about God’s nature.
Jesus: The Image of the Invisible God
.Colossians 1:14-15 states:
“In [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”
.The word image here is singular, not plural.
.Why do some scholars misinterpret this clear biblical truth?
.Let’s examine Colossians 1:15 again. Does it say “image” or “images”?
.Since it refers to a single image, what does image mean?
Understanding the Meaning of “Image”
.An image is a representation of the external form of a person or thing.
.It also refers to the impression a person, organization, or entity gives to the public.
.For example, the barrel of a pen is the image of the ink inside it.
.Similarly, Jesus said, “By their fruits, you shall know them.” (Matthew 7:16).
.In the same way, Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.

What Does “Invisible” Mean?
.The fallen condition of humanity often clouds people’s understanding of God.
.The devil has deceived many, leading them away from the truth of God’s existence and nature.
.However, through Christ’s redemptive blood, all can be forgiven and restored.
.Exodus 24:10-11 describes how the Israelites saw a manifestation of God, yet the Bible teaches that no one has truly seen Him.
.The Bible’s language must be understood in its spiritual context.
.For example, while the Bible says no one has seen God, it also says that Christ is His visible image.
.Jesus is the body of the invisible Father—His physical manifestation.
.The God of Israel is the same God we serve today.
.Though He first revealed Himself to Israel, He now offers salvation to all, both Jews and Gentiles (John 1:12).

God’s Manifestation in Christ
.In biblical language, the eternal God is Spirit, yet He has manifested Himself as a man, an angel, and even a rock (Exodus 33:23, 1 Corinthians 10:4).
.These manifestations are known as Theophanies—temporary appearances of God in physical form.
.Though God is Spirit and invisible, He took on a visible body in Christ to reveal Himself to the world.
.John 1:4-5 says: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
.Psalm 27:1 declares: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”
.Jesus told His disciples: “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14).
.Although Christ, the image of God, walked the earth, God remained in heaven as Spirit.
.The invisible God was fully present in Christ, yet He remained beyond human sight.
.When people saw Jesus, they saw the visible manifestation of the invisible God.
.May the wisdom and peace of God be multiplied in your life as you seek to know Him more.
