HISTORY OF ENOCH
). In Genesis chapter 5:18-19 we learned about Jared who became the father of Enoch, when he was at the age of one hundred and sixty two years old.
). Furthermore, at his age of eight hundred years old, he had already other sons and daughters as well.
). And finally, at the age of nine hundred and sixty two years old, Jared the father of Enoch died.
). According to Genesis chapter 5 verse 21, Enoch appeared to have married much earlier than his father Jared, because he became the father of Methuselah at the age of 65 years old.
). The man Methuselah who was the successor of Enoch lived the longest age of mortal life on the face of the earth.
). The age of Methuselah before he died was 969 years, that is, 969 years x 365 days = [353,685] days.
). Added to the intermediating leap years, his age long might have credited some extra spans to his age.
). After Enoch had begotten Methuselah, he was found to be walking with the LORD for three hundred (300) years, while he had other sons and daughters.
). It happened that the intensity of his relationship with the LORD became so awesomely intimate, that the LORD had to take him away alive with Him to His Kingdom glory according to Genesis 5:24.
). The history of Enoch provides obvious reality of the mind of God to be so related with whoever walks with Him as Enoch.
). Remember also that He said to our patriarch father Abraham, to continue walking before Him that he might remain perfect (Genesis17:1).
). We first learned about Enoch in the of Genesis, but later, in the book of Deuteronomy 33:2, we heard prophet Moses was found referring to the prophecy of Enoch.
). Also, we found out or discovered in the book of St. Jude1:14 that Enoch was a prophet of God.
). He prophesied accurately, the same reference Moses pointed to in Deut. 33:2.
). In all of this, we uncovered that Enoch was a highly renowned holy prophet of the LORD.
). Without gain saying, Enoch was such an awesome great prophet, perhaps in the same category of prophet Elijah.
). These two commendable saints had the history of the LORD taking them alive into His kingdom.
). However, Enoch’s practical activities were not loudly recorded in the Holy scriptures like that of Elijah.
). The native land of Enoch was not mentioned or recorded to be known, like Elijah was confirmed to be a Tishbite from the region of Gilead.
). Judging or going by the earliest age when Enoch lived, he was the seventh from Adam.
). He might have hailed from one of the unnamed ancient habitations where the earliest sons of God inhabited.
). That might have been the same region with Adam. No one can tell.
).Notwithstanding when the LORD kicked out Adam from the paradise garden of Eden, there was no specific named location the LORD kept him.
).Notwithstanding, there were exclusive values the LORD ratified in him, which qualified him to go with God into bliss.
). What the LORD did with Enoch by taking him away to His Kingdom, shows what the LORD had in mind for mankind besides disobedience to His Word.
). Enoch was one of the sons of God, before the sons of God latter began to go into illegitimate marriages with the daughters of men of the world according to Genesis 6:1-3.
). As the LORD took Elijah the prophet into heaven by whirlwind and transport of fire, so was the case of Enoch.
). Nevertheless, no specific arrangements were recorded on how he went with the LORD God into glorious eternity.
). His could be in another form, but the same LORD took them anyway.
). Before ever the prophets of postdiluvian, that is, after the deluge, the flood that destroyed the world, happened, Enoch was of the earliest antediluvian holy prophets that existed seventh from Adam.
). We are not accrediting Enoch as the lone prophet of that generation: for the LORD told Elijah that there were seven thousand other persons who had not worshipped the goddess of Baalim.
). We may not place a definition that he was the only prophet of the LORD in those days, but we guess that he was probably the major prophet like Elijah was.
). Before the LORD destroyed the world with flood, Enoch long prophesied of the LORD descending upon mount Horeb or Sinai, with a great number of saints.
). It was through prophet Enock we learned that the LORD came from heaven to the earth with ten thousand of saints.
). St. Jude being filled with the Holy Ghost revealed that Enoch was a powerful prophet of the LORD.
). JUDE 1:14
And Enoch also, the seventh person from Adam, prophesied of these saying, “Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of saints.
DEUTERONOMY 33:1 and 2.
). Moses himself being a very great prophet of the LORD cited the prophecy of Enoch.
). Vs.1. And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death
). Vs.2. And he said “The LORD came from Sinai, and rose from Seir to them; He shined forth from mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints: from His right hand went a fiery law for them.
CONFIRMATION OF Enoch’s PROPHECY
Exodus 19:18,20.
). Vs.18. And Mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke of it ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
). Vs.20. And the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain; and Moses went up.
). Enoch was a human being born of (Woman) and (Man), but he lived on this earth and pleased the Lord continuously and permanently.
). If you can believe me, Enoch is as one of us, who can follow the same unspotted holy footsteps, that he followed.
). He simply pleased the Lord, by total submission and he was accepted.
). The LORD reminded Cain by saying to him, “If you do well, shall you not be accepted?
). And if you do not do well, sin is lying down at the door. And on you is his desire; and you are made to rule over him (Genesis 4:7).
). It is possible, that what happened in the days of Enoch can still happen today.
). Every single thing we read from the Holy Bible is for us to pick up the right steps of the model.
). I want to say that God does not love Enoch than any other person if we have what Enoch had to attract the love of God towards him.
). The fact that the Lord took Enoch alive away to be with him in the kingdom of heaven, is also a clear evidence that God can as well take any of us that have truly trusted total in him like Enoch did.
). The Bible says that we are built upon the Foundation of the apostles and prophets: and Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.
). The foundation of the apostles and the prophets, represents the
footsteps of Christ which they took and became the Saints of God.
). The LORD GOD had not come physically as the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth in the days of Enoch.
). However, He had manifested Himself in various forms on this earth to certain persons in some dispensations past, before He sent His Image which He introduced as Christ.
). In the [dispensation of promise] He appeared to Abraham physically in His immortal body, according to Genesis 18:1-33.
). Although Abraham himself might have also been in the high frequency of the spiritual realm in his faith to have such a magnanimous connective encounter with the LORD.
). He had initially manifested Himself to the same Abraham when he dwelled in Mamre, before He changed him to be called Abraham.
). In that appearance, He came to him as the Priest of the Most High God, in name of Melchizedek according to Genesis 14:18-20.
). V.18. And Melchizedek the King of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and He was the Priest of the Most High God.
). Vs.19. And He blessed him and said, blessed are you Abram of the Most High God, Possessor of Heaven and Earth
). Vs.20. And blessed is the Most High God, who had delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave Him tithes of all
Briefs About Melchizedek
). His autobiography was a bit more explicit in the Bible book of Hebrews chapters 5;6;7etc. .
Chapter 5.
). Vs. 5. So also Christ did not glorify Himself to be made a High Priest, but He that said to Him, you are my Son, today, I have begotten you.
). Vs.6. As He also said in another scripture, You are a Priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
). “After the order of Melchizedek” simply means, after the [form] or [type] of Melchizedek’s priesthood, He will do it in another form.
). This meaning that the everlasting High priesthood will no longer be associated with the name Melchizedek, after His manifestation as a Human.
Chapter 6.
). Vs.17. Wherefore, God willing more abundantly to show to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by oath
). Vs.18. That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong consolation to lay hold on the hope that is set before us.
Chapter 7.
). Vs.1. For this Melchizedek, King of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
). Vs.2. To whom also Abraham gave tithes of all; first being by interpretation as King of Righteousness; and after that also King of Salem, that is, King of peace.
). Vs.3. Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither the beginning of days, nor the end of life; but made like to the Son of God; abides a priest continually.
). Vs.19). For the law made nothing perfect, bringing in of a better hope, did; by which we have now been made to draw near to God.
). Vs.20. For inasmuch as not without oath He was made a Priest.
). Vs.25. Wherefore He is able to save to the uttermost [all] them who come to God by Him, seeing that He is ever, or eternally living to make intercession for them.
). Vs. 28. For the law makes men that have infirmity to be high priests; but the word of the oath which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
). Vs.19. The hope we have as an anchor of the soul, but sure and steadfast, and had entered [that] within the veil.
), Vs.20. Where the forerunner, even Jesus, is entered for us, and made the High Priest for us after the order, or the form of Melchizedek priesthood.
). The amazing eye opening wonder here is, Hebrews 7:3 reveals that Melchizedek was as the Son of God, and abides as the Priest of the Most High God continually:
). But what does it still mean, that you are a Priest before me “after the order of Melchizedek”, even by oath.
). Psalm 110:4 began to reveal by saying,
). The LORD has sworn and will not repent [change], you are a Priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek .
). Who is Jesus of the now, and who was the immortal Melchizedek of the past?
). Do you now agree with the LORD that the scriptures of the Holy Bible are the mysterious eternal arrangement of the invisible God?
). Do you see such a supernatural book with these sacred oriented contents, that people toying about with, and say they are teaching the word of God;
). Claiming that the God they have not known has called them to fumble about with His sanctified word?
). In the same way, the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to lay down his heavenly footsteps for us to follow, according to first Peter chapter 2 verse 21.
). May the peace of the living God be multiplied upon the saints of the kingdom of eternal glory.
). Note that Enoch was neither hypocritical, political nor mingled with foolishness: and the LORD translated him.
). Please pass on the history of The Enoch to all and sundry.
